Rope Access Technician IRATA SPRAT Level II/III

Location: Edmonton, AB
The Rope Access Technician is responsible for safety management, work site organization, and where applicable, supervisory roles and responsibilities and providing leadership to work crews on various projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be capable for complete responsibility for work projects
Be conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation
Have a comprehensive knowledge of advanced rescue techniques
Be able to demonstrate all the skills and knowledge required of levels I, II and III
Assist other technicians as required
Prepare and submit reports on a timely basis
Ensure operational safety of all equipment
Liaise with Operations Managers on project work
Liaise with clients and site operations crew to ensure scope of job is understood and well executed
Travel as required
EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
IRATA Level I, II or III Certification required including proficiency in theoretical knowledge, equipment and rigging, maneuvers, climbing and rescue/hauling
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Valid drivers’ license
Required certification levels for specific projects
Willingness to learn and improve
Team orientation
Ability to work productively in adverse conditions
Physically and mentally fit
