Consultant, information technology (IT) (IT Consultant AIX)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $36.17 to $38.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Markham, Ontario (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Specific Skills: Confer with clients to identify and document requirements, Conduct business and technical studies, Design, develop and implement information systems business solutions, Provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management and service delivery, Assess physical and technical security risks to data, software and hardware, Develop policies, procedures and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches, Develop and implement policies and procedures throughout the software development life cycle, Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices
Work Setting: Consulting firm
Computer and Technology Knowledge: Linux, Unix, Hardware, Device drivers, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Presentation software, Office Suites, Electronic mailing software, Project management software, Business diagramming software, Database software, Programming languages
Other Information:IBM AIX experience is a must.
