Our Retail Fmcg, importer and distributor client in Epping Cape Town is looking for a well experienced Cost Accountant / Senior Cost Accountant with 5-7 years solid experience. You will be solely responsible for Budgeting, costing, demand planning, purchasing, and inventory management.

You Must be an Excel Guru!!!! Must come from Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Import or Distribution, warehouse Industry – Stock Management essential.

Salary UP TO R 660 000 + 13th bonus (performance based) highly Negotiable

Requirements: Relevant Degree/Diploma in accounting/costing or finance. A professional qualification such as CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)will be advantageous.

Must have At least 5-7 years’ cost accounting experience in a FMCG, retail, products, imports, distribution, supply chain, procurement and or warehouse Industry experience. non negotiable

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills & attention to detail - Non Negotiable. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Highly proficient on MS Excel(data analysis and interpretation). Working knowledge of SAP or related ERP system.

Main Responsibilities: Analysing and optimizing all company costs, with particular emphasis on inventory management and demand planning, Maintaining a well-functioning ERP system, and extraction and creation of all company reports, Compiling annual budgets and forecasts.

Implementation of Company Strategic Plan

Participate and implementation when required in annual Strategic Planning process.

Budgeting - Compile annual budgets in conjunction with the Finance & Ops Director, Managing Director, and departmental managers.

Compile half yearly forecasts for the company in conjunction with the Finance & Ops Director and departmental managers.

Cost Analysist - Analyse and monitor the company's cost structure to identify areas of improvement and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to Directors and departmental managers.

Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies.

Demand planning, purchasingand inventory management - Integrated Demand Planning

Prepare and update annual purchase forecast monthly, indicating values by month. Updates should include actual purchases to date and adjusted purchase forecasts.

Monthly stock value and cover reports

ERP System - Monitor and maintain ERP system reporting and provide support.

Reporting - Sales & marketing reports, Stock reports, Financial reports, Sales commission & incentive reports.
