Requirements: Relevant degree or diploma in accounting. At 5 years of relevant work experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Experience with accounting software, Pastel. Strong Excel skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with work colleagues and stand in for them when required. Attention to detail and accuracy. Live within 5 km of Claremont, Cape Town.
Responsibilities: Process accounts payable and receivable. Daily finance administration and operational tasks. Data capture for reporting. Prepare and post receipts, deposits, invoices, refunds, and other standard tasks. Prepare and file company tax documents in particular VAT.
Manage payroll and employee benefits. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Update and reconcile balance sheet recons where required. Assist when other staff are absent or on leave. Process authorised payments. Office administration. Answering account and other queries from clients. Attention to detail and accuracy.
