Qualifications / Requirements: Proven operations / management experience in the logistics / freight / mining / warehousing environment. Strong leadership skills with a no-nonsense approach. Experience in bulk ore handling (road haul, warehousing, stockpiling, product reconciliation / management, loading of bulk vessels). Production related systems experience. Stable work record with good, contactable references. Financial and budget experience. Logistics and personnel management experience. Overall operations / management experience.

Key Performance Areas Growth of nett profitability and ROI: Ensure income projections align with to cost of sales and projected expenses. Reduce the cost of production to volume ratio. Operational optimization and efficiencies improved. Ensure production targets are met.

Cargo securitization: Ensure maximum handling loss of 0.5% through the entire value chain. Ensure no contamination. Fully functional controls end to end (tracking, systems, scanners).

Client relationship management: Contractual commitments to clients met at all times. Responsiveness to clients – 24 hour on requests. Ensure current clients are retained. Acquire additional clients.

Compliance management: Above and beyond culture to be implemented. 95% on internal and external commercial audits. 95% on internal and external SHEQ audits. Obtain and maintain required operating licenses. Implement systems, policies and procedures as required.

Strategic stakeholder relationships: Maintain good working relationships with sub-contractors. Maintain good working relations with NMBM. Salary: R60000.
