Life Sciences Research Technician (Lab Technician)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $38,000.00 to $40,000.00 Yearly for 37.5 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Some university, Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable, Not required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Area of Specialization: Microbiology, Genetics and molecular biology, Biotechnology, Mycology
Type of Work Experience: Laboratory testing and analysis, Applied research, Data analysis and interpretation
Type of Technical Experience: Health sciences, Biochemical and molecular techniques
Specific Skills: Conduct biological, microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses, Assist in conducting biological, microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses, Assist in analysis of data and preparation of reports
Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
