IT Helpdesk Administrator – Durban, Company Name: HR Talent Partner. One of the largest Media and Software Development Companies in South Africa is looking for a ‘’Data Analyst’’ to join their team on a full-time permanent basis at their offices in Durban. Core Purposes of the Job: To facilitate technical support requests via the process of logging and assigning calls. To ensure Users are provided with feedback regarding the status of a logged call and to provide first-line support to Users.
Key Performances Areas: Log calls and provide Feedback/Follow Up, in conjunction with department co-ordinator. Provide weekly reports to Management containing summary of calls logged. Override Prism User Locks and Reset Windows User Account Passwords. Download/Upload Artwork for Clients/Users. Obtain quotes for new or replacement equipment and submit e-requisitions.
Job Outline: We have a helpdesk system that manages and tracks the performance of the role. How many calls get logged and how many of those are closed within SLA. There is also a survey that gets sent out to each staff member requesting a survey be filled out for feedback. Primary responsibility is to provide first line support / service to company. Follow standard Helpdesk operating procedures by accurately logging and following up all Helpdesk faults using call tracking software.
Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment. Application of design across campaign elements. Receive & understand the creative brief form clients. Design may integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative and graphic elements.
IT Procurement Duties (National): Liaising with existing suppliers. Sourcing and building relations with new suppliers. Analyse past sales patterns to anticipate trends in consumer buying pattern. Recommending clearance sales and varying delivery schedules to help control stock levels. Purchasing material for inventory and non-stock items for users ordered nationally. Reviewing purchase orders and confirmation over to vendors. Monitoring to make sure mail/order went through and confirm expected ship dates and updating system. Resolving errors on purchase orders as required. Investigating on incorrect/damaged stock received – (for non-conformance). Reviewing open purchase orders not printed. Filing purchase orders.
Experience: 1-2 year(s) work experience in a Corporate Environment. Some form of IT Exposure within an IT Environment.
Qualification: Must be in a possession of a Matric Certificate. Previous equivalent experience in similar corporate environment.
