Cold Storage and Safety Operations Coordinator, Other, West Coast. Company Name: Blue Desk Recruitment. My client who is in perishables, requires the following of the cold storage and safety operations co- ordinator: Maintaining fridges in good order, supplies products to customers, truck drivers’ distribution to different stores, picking and stock rotation and supervision of staff.

Safety: Ensure all safety measurements are kept up-to-date and register is on track. Only SA to apply. You must have management experience, come from dairy, live within 18km of Killarney Gardens and speak fluent Afrikaans as most of your reportees are Afrikaans speaking.

Responsibility: Maintaining fridges in good order, supplies products to customers, truck drivers’ distribution to different stores, picking and stock rotation and supervision of staff.

Safety: Ensure all safety measurements are kept up-to-date and register is on track.

Primary Responsibilities Deliveries: Supervise loading of all stock for deliveries. Process all products picked for deliveries, discrepancies, and damage reports as needed. Move inventory to various locations of cold rooms by coordinating with Factory Manager with mechanical equipment operators which includes forklift and handcart. Load and unload delivery truck under his supervision. Assume responsibility for delivery of all items sent to customers by Factory to proper location on a daily basis. Evaluate complaints received on deliveries and take appropriate action. Ensure truck drivers stay on their route.

Picking & Stock Rotation: Ensure that stock in all cold rooms is rotated on a daily basis. Latest batches should be in the back of the Cold Room. Picking should be done on the basis of ‘’First in, First out”. Supervise when Cold Room Employees does picking for deliveries. Assume responsibility for all picking & stock rotation.

Inventory: Supervise Cold rooms and Storage of all products. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Inventory control.

Returns / Damages: Confirm damages that are returned with the truck driver. Report damages to the Factory Manager.

Personnel: Supervise, evaluate and train employees assign to Cold Rooms and Truck Drivers including the Truck Assistants.

Other Duties as Assigned: Other duties could include working in other areas to provide support during absences or shortage of staff. Take inventories as required. Report and clear indication of ‘’out of stock’’ or ‘’overstock’’ conditions developing. Liaise with other sites and shops / clients.

Security: Security on all sites is following policies and procedure. Any suspect activity is investigated on the on-site cameras and report to HR Manager.

Education and Experience: High School Graduate and tertiary qualification is essential. Minimum 3- year experience in similar position. A valid Code 8 driver’s license. Salary: R25000.
