Housekeeping Attendant, Other, Johannesburg. Company Name: Ascot Hotel. We are looking for an extraordinary, energetic & delightful Housekeeper to join their team. If you have experience working in the hospitality industry, and always going above & beyond this opportunity is for you.

Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to Job duties/responsibilities will include: Check incoming laundry for stains and/or damage. Follow laundry care labels. Sort laundry by classification and colour. Wash: linen, towels, Tableware and guests clothes. Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures. Pre-treat and rinse heavily soiled items. Identify linen to be condemned. Operate washing machines, tumble dryers and iron. Adhere to correct load levels. Maintain records of linen, washed and returned. Maintain cleanliness of the laundry room and outdoor washing line. Maintain records of laundry washed, ironed, packaged and ready to be returned to guests. Perform stain treatment when needed. Monitor and ensure adequate supplies of cleaning materials. Ensure laundry machines are maintained and problems reported to management. Follow the laundry checklist at all times as prescribed by management.

Report any and / or all missing / lost / client item(s) and / or damages to management. Collaborates with management, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled, that productivity and performance levels are attained. Be willing and available to perform any and all reasonable duties and responsibilities that may be required and instructed to be performed by management. Candidate Profile and Work experience; Previous experience in the same or similar position. Ability to stand for long periods and be physically fit. Must be able to Read and Write in English. Reliable, responsible and dependable to fulfil obligations. Punctual, responsible, honest, trustworthy and dependable to fulfil obligations

Attention to detail and able to perform with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask and show initiative by taking control of assigned tasks. Hands-on approach with a can-do work ethic. Be willing to work some weekends and public holidays. Requirements: Must have hospitality background. Job Type: Full-time considerations: The candidate must understand the COVID-19 precautions.

Ability to commute/relocate: Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work. Required Language: English. Shift availability: Morning Shift.
