Site Engineer Responsibilities: 1. Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
2. Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
3. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
4. Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
5. Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to clients.
6. Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant departments / clients.
7. Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings where required.
8. Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
9. act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives
10. set out, level and survey the site
11. check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
12. Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
13. ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications

16. manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect
17. liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
18. liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
19. communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
20. carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors – this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects

Requirements:1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
2. Driving license.
3. Minimum 5 years’ Experience in a similar role.
4. Additional certificates (SCE) required.
5. Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
6. Great leadership and organizational skills.
7. Superb project management skills.
8. Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
9. Great written and verbal communication skills.
10. A willingness to learn.
