General Accountant
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 Yearly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Baker Lake, Nunavut (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Certified General Accountants (CGA) Association Accreditation, Society of Management Accountants (CMA) Accreditation
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Windows, General office equipment, Electronic mail, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Excel, Accounting software, Simply Accounting
Financial Auditor Specific Skills: Examine financial records and transactions, Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control, Prepare reports and audit findings, Recommend improvements to accounting systems and management practices
Accountant Specific Skills: Plan, set up and administer accounting systems, Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies, Examine accounting records, Prepare financial statements and reports, Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure, Analyze financial documents and reports
Additional Skills: Train staff, Supervise staff
Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less
Security and Safety: Driver's validity licence check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Travel expenses paid by employer
Work Location Information: Rural area, Willing to relocate, Relocation costs covered by employer
