Cost Accountant in the East Rand(FMCG), Boksburg, East Rand. Company Name: HR. We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team.

Duties & Responsibilities: Perform month-end close activities related to Cost Accounting. Prepare actual vs. plan (budget) analysis. Prepare various financial analyses related to manufacturing costs, inventory, and expense information for various internal customers as needed for decision-making support.

Create and maintain production BOMs; maintain periodic cost rolls/updates. Analyse changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, and determine effects on costs. Analyses actual production costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Develop and maintain standard costs of finished goods. Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.

Ensure validity and accuracy through analysis, internal audit, and coordination with inventory control, production, and work order processing. Assist in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls. Ad hoc financial accounting and admin tasks.

Desired Experience & Qualification: 3 years experience in the manufacturing industry – Advantageous. 3 years of standard cost accounting experience – Advantageous. B.com Internal Auditing Degree- UNISA. Distinct advantage Skills and Abilities. Advanced computer literacy, preferably including forecasting and analysis tools. Accuracy and attention to detail.
