Colour Mixer, Matcher required - Automotive Paints, Observatory, Southern Suburbs. Company Name: Auto Paints & Spares City. An upcoming and growing auto paints retailer in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Colour Mixer to join our team asap.

Job Summary: Ability to work with little to no supervision , the Color Matcher creates color formulations to meet customer requirements, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Essential Functions: Creates formulations that meet the customer's requirements in a timely and cost effective manner. Completes color design using the appropriate combination of different additives, pigments, dyes, and polymers. Analytical scale operation. Ensures formulations comply to customer's specifications. Problem solves and troubleshoots. Enters data into IQ Retail ( Can be trained). Uses spectrophotometer to store match data into the color computer system. Follows applicable safety, health, and environmental rules and guidelines. Uses appropriate protective equipment. Ensures required paperwork is completed properly and accurately. Performs other tasks as requested.

Education and Experience: Approprite education qualifications. Excellent matching/mixing skills. Technical Competence. Color Design/Matching skills. Capability to think outside the box and work on cutting edge concepts. Proficiency with color software and IQ Retail a plus. Performs work with speed and accuracy.. Ability to work with minimal supervision and setting targets. Communication Skills. Strong communication skills required, both oral and written (technical and non-technical). Able to present ideas and results in a logical manner. Responds to emails/calls and provides detailed reports in appropriate fashion and timeframe.

Understands project purpose and commitment required. Able to present ideas and results in a logical manner. Can effectively communicate technical information with other functions that are non-technical. Receptive to other ideas and feedback. Works seamlessly with others without difficulty.
