Required Experience: Motor Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic: minimum 5 years experience on passenger vehicles.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday: 07h30 – 17h30

Saturdays: 08h00 – 13h00 (3 Saturdays per month, one Saturday per month off)

Salary: R7 500 – R16 000 + incentive (depending on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary: To undertake the full range of duties of a multi-skilled Automotive Mechanic: maintaining/repairing all types of vehicles. Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components. Identify mechanical problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment. Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems. Build and assemble machines or mechanical components per requirements. Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs and record and stamp of service booklets. Undertake any other duties as assigned by workshop foreman or workshop manager.
