Security Guard Supervisor
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift
Salary: $14.00 to $15.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work Setting: Sport and recreation club, Parking lot
Workers Supervised: Security guards
Specific Skills: Co-ordinate, assign, supervise and review activities of workers, Establish work schedules and procedures, Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, Resolve work related problems, Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, Handle emergency situations, Ensure safety of workers and guests, Attend to persons with special needs
Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Fast-paced environment, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people
Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking
