Investment Data Analyst, Bo-Kaap, Cape Town. Great opportunity to join a top team at a leading Asset Manager as an Investment Data Analyst. This role will work closely with different client groups, undertaking data analysis and facilitating data reporting. This role is Cape Town based. This is an EE designated opportunity.

Key role functions: Co-ordinate and produce bespoke data sets for prospective clients. Analyse and interpret large datasets in excel. Acquire data from data sources and consolidate data while maintaining quality assurance. Implement strategies to streamline and improve the data analysis process. Investigate and oversee the resolution of data issues and liaising effectively with appropriate business teams.

Detailed preparations and evaluation of data requests to source underlying data sets promptly, and to prioritise requests effectively. Manage relationships with data vendors, manage queries that arise and assess the feasibility or benefit of new data provider offerings.

Key requirements: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or similar. 5-7 years’ experience in Financial Services, preferably Asset Management. Proven work experience of analysis of complex data sets. MS Excel (advanced). Analytical, good co-ordination, able to multi-task, high attention to detail, able to work to varied timeframes.
