Roles & responsibilities: SQL DB Administration Tasks:

Monitor Database performance, implement changes an apply new patches and versions when required writing disaster recovery plans

Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and back-up data

Troubleshoot database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses

Build database systems of high availability and quality depending of each end users’ specialised role

Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner

Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users

Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity

IT Administration Tasks:

Maintain information systems and networks, upgrade and install new hardware and software, and perform troubleshooting

Monitoring and maintaining network and servers

Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software, to meet company objectives

Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats

Creating using accounts and performing access control

Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems

Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures
