SAICA and SAIPA Trainee Accountants, City Centre, Cape Town. A long established firm of Chartered Accountants based in the City Centre of Cape Town offers opportunities to SAICA & SAIPA Trainee Accountants to complete their training contracts.

What Does The Firm Offer?

An extensive on the job training programme which gives full exposure to various industries including, but not limited to, Retail, Wholesale, NPO’s, FMCG etc. All trainees will get full experience in Auditing, Tax and Accounting.

A competitive study leave policy which accommodates the needs of part time students; the firm provides the recommended number of days' study leave per annum towards students’ final UNISA and other relevant exams.

Responsibility Duties include, but are not limited to: Form part of an audit team. Attend planning meetings in relation to a particular client audit. Complete tax returns, Stock counts, Perform  various reconciliations. Compilation of financials for Close Corporations and Trusts. Liaise with clients. Complete agreed upon procedures. Ensure Engagement letters are received and on file. Obtain bank confirmations. Attend all training organised by the firm. Complete Performance reviews after completion of each audit. Complete a Development Needs Analysis every 6 months to determine development needs. All admin duties relating to completion of an audit file.

Desired Experience & Qualification: For SAICA Trainees - Be in possession of a SAICA recognized B Com Degree and studying towards CTA LEVEL 1 OR 2. For SAIPA Trainees - Be in possession of a SAIPA recognized B Com Degree. A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) is an important requirement. Good communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.

Willingness to work longer hours as and when required. Conscientious and self-motivated. Must be in possession of a valid driver's license and own reliable transport.

Salary: RR10-12000 pm
