Junior Debtors Claims Clerk, De Waterkant, Cape Town. Junior Debtors Claim Clerk ( retail industry). International Retailer in Cape Town CBD is seeking to employ a Junior Debtors Claim Clerk. To process claims promptly and ensure all customers are dealt with consistently and courteously.

Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain sound business relationships with: Customers (customer portals). ILDC (claims delivered monthly). Fellow employees (Finance, Customer Services). Process claims timeously and accurately, ensuring that the backlog is not older than 2 weeks.

Ensure that claims are managed across all accounts and liaise with Credit controllers on Invalid claims for paybacks to be driven with customers. Weekly reporting and feedback on claims processed and interaction with Credit controllers on pending claims where immediate attention is required to mitigate invalid claims.

Ensure that all return claims are documented and given to Credit controllers for internal signoff and stored within the framework. Work in the framework of customer specifications ensuring that claims are managed by portal requirements. Provide constructive feedback at meetings when required. Add value to the team to achieve company objectives.

Personal Characteristics, Needs to have excellent attention to detail, strong PC skills including SAP ( advantage) and Excel; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Able to influence and communicate clearly at all levels; Quick comprehension; Handles conflict with customers most effectively and professionally; Able to set priorities and clear targets; High flexibility; and Able to grow with the level of responsibilities and with the size and structure of the business.

Skills and Competencies required. A minimum of 2 years of FMCG experience in Credit Control is advantageous. SAP experience is advantageous. Use tools and software available, in the most effective way to complete day-to-day activities.
