Wireless Network Support Technician, Other, East Rand. Company Name: Imagine. Wireless & Field Support Technician. Job is based in the East Rand and preference will be given to candidates who live in the area due to service/maintenance requirements on the network.

Must have own reliable transport and driver's license. Must have excellent timekeeping and communication skills and be able to work independently. Must be willing to work on alternate weekends and after hours as part of OnCall / Standby agreement.

Primary functions include Wireless network and system installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance (tower and end-user). Experience in Unifi/Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, and Tenda devices (hardware and software) is required. Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks.

The position will also include (not limited to): Helpdesk (knowledge of WHMCS beneficial). Network and Server Support (Active Directory, DNS, Domain Setup, VMs). General IT & email support (PoP3, IMAP, Exchange, etc). Connectivity Support (FTTB, FTTH, Wireless, etc). Collection and Delivery of hardware. Minimum of 3 years functional working experience required. Relevant additional networking/IT certificates will be an added advantage. Experience in maintaining a wireless network will be beneficial. Salary will market related and dependent on experience and qualifications.
