Job Opening:    Heavy Duty Mechanic and Heavy Duty Mechanic Supervisor

Harvest Power currently has two job openings in our Mechanics team. 
• Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Heavy Duty Mechanic Supervisor

Our award-winning facility specializes in processing hundreds of thousands of tonnes of organic materials every year.  We are leader in composting and selling manufactured soil products in Western Canada, producing quality premium soil and mulch products.  This is a great place to work and offer our staff competitive compensation packages, including full benefits plan.
This is a Permanent, Full Time role, located in our Richmond facility.  Our fleet consists of Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo and John Deere equipment and includes Loaders, a  30 ton Rock Truck,  Bob-Cats,  Excavators, stacking conveyors and grinders.
General Requirements:
• Obtained Inter-Provincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence
• Thorough knowledge and experience working on mobile equipment, particularly loaders, excavators, rock trucks, hydraulics and conveyors,
• Excellent Heavy Duty Mechanic maintenance and troubleshooting skills,
• Extensive experience with Loaders and Excavators is preferred,
• Able to work effectively with 1-3 apprentices,
• Able  to follow instructions, utilize shop manuals, as well as being able to work with minimal supervision,
• Possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellence and have acute safety awareness,
• Effective interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy while working with a variety of individuals and groups,
• Lead Hand will be responsible for the shop, coordinating with inventory program, coordinating purchasing program, training, therefore candidates must have experience as lead hand/supervisor,  including experience in training and giving direction to other heavy duty mechanics, apprentices, serviceman,
Salary: TQ Lead Heavy Duty Mechanic (1): $37.00/hour + benefits
TQ Heavy Duty Mechanic (1):  $35.00/hour + benefits
Shifts: Lead Heavy Duty Mechanic: Monday to Friday – 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
Heavy Duty Mechanic: Monday to Friday – 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
(Hours for both roles may be adjusted from time to time - candidates must be flexible in order to accommodate operational requirements)
