Job Opening: Scale Attendant
Reports to: Scale Manager/Business Manager
Harvest Power is currently looking for a Scale Attendant to help during our busy (spring/summer) season. This is a temporary, part-time position but has the potential to become permanent, located in our Richmond facility.
Our award-winning facility specializes in processing hundreds of thousands of tonnes of organic materials every year. We are leader in composting and selling manufactured soil products in Western Canada, producing quality premium soil and mulch products. This is a great place to work! Scale Attendants provide all necessary assistance in weighting the inbound and outbound trucks and generating tickets.
Main Duties
• Creating weigh slips for customers;
• Entering and editing manual tickets, and accepting payments;
• Answering phone calls in a professional manner;
• Greeting customers, coordinating visitors, providing assistance with any signing in procedures;
• Answering customer inquiries;
• Provide assistance with coordinating soil deliveries;
• Preparing, editing, and sending invoices to customers and corporate office
• Organization of scale tickets;
• Maintaining the scale office and the scale, ordering supplies for employees, and other office assistance as required;
• Provide assistance to Sales and Quality Control Departments as required;
• Filing and data entry using Microsoft Office and other scale relevant software;
• Communicating company safety policies;
• Generating reports:
• Performing other relevant duties as required.
Qualifications:
• Excellent computer skills, including Word and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment
• Skills in database management and record keeping
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-pasted environment
• Must have own vehicle, as our facility is not located close to any public transit routes
