Our client, a leading manufacturer of flavours for the food and beverage industries in Wellington, is looking to appoint a Cost Accountant who recently graduated with a relevant B Degree. The successful person should work together with the financial staff of the company to provide accounting support to management who establish the budgets and targets for the company.

Duties: Collecting and analysing data about a company’s operational costs; Setting standard costs of manufactured goods; Developing and analysing cost standards; Performing account reconciliations; Preparing audit reports and presenting their findings to management; Recommending changes to the company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit; and Advising management on appropriate costing based on financial data.

Experience and qualifications: A recently graduated person who has complete a B Degree in Cost Accounting. No or little work experience is required. Must have good analytical and communications skills. Preferably residing in the Boland area or have own transport to commute to work on a daily basis. A market related salary is on offer.
