Purpose of the Role: Recruitment Consultants are responsible for attracting candidates for jobs and matching them to temporary or permanent positions internally or with client companies. You will build positive relationships in order to gain a better understanding of your clients' recruitment needs and requirements.
Working as a Recruitment Consultant, you will attract candidates by drafting advertising copies for use in a range of media, as well as by networking, headhunting and through referrals. You will screen candidates, interview them, run background checks and finally match them to clients. You will also provide advice to both clients and candidates on salary levels, training requirements and career opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities: Obtain job specifications from clients with all necessary requirements, package, reporting structure, systems, etc. Review job specifications and employment applications to match applicants with job requirements. Search for job candidates using various sources such as databases, internet recruiting resources, networking, media advertisements or referrals.
Interview job applicants as part of the screening process to get information on their work history, job skills, training and education, and inform them of the position’s duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits and working conditions.
Select job applicants, confirm their qualifications and refer them to hiring managers, making recommendations when appropriate. Typing of CVs into company formats and submitting shortlists for each role worked on to relevant individuals at clients. Candidate marketing. Analyse employment data related to the position and create reports based on your findings.
Contact applicants to inform them of their application statuses and conduct background or reference checks on job applicants, particularly those who will be given job offers. Also obtain consent forms along with personal documentation from each potential candidate. Arrange interviews between client and shortlisted candidates. On offer stage, do all necessary background checks and present the offer to the candidate.
Complete 3 months aftercare with both candidate and client. Represent the company at industry related events. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients. Source new business and identify growth opportunities within current clients. Cold calling, telesales and candidate. Manage relationships with existing clients to support delivery and identify retention and expansion opportunities.
Compile Research Reports for all Headhunting activities and industry research. Train any junior staff members on recruiting processes end to end. Upload and update all candidate and client details on company database.
