Facilities and Maintenance Manager

Stable employer closer to North Bay area ( Sudbury) is currently looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Superintendent with a Mechanical Engineering P.Eng. Successful candidate must have experience in working in a large high production heavy industrial mfg plant facility. Experience working within the mining, steel, automotive or oil and gas sectors a must.
Description:
 Role will oversee capital projects including mechanical system upgrades and replacement within the plant environment.
 Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety and company’s policies.
 Provide leadership and effective coaching and direction to subordinates
 Ensure operating budget of the department is met and variances explained and proper corrective action taken if required.
 Accountable for ensuring projects are completed in a timely and cost effective manner.
 Monitor and provide recommendations related to planning facility infrastructure.
Qualifications:
 BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with P.Eng with over 10 yrs experience of mechanical engineering experience with a heavy industrial plant maintenance facility. Plus, 5 yrs of managerial experience leading large mechanical engineering teams (between 15 to 30)
 Excellent project management skills including: report writing, documentation, budget management, scheduling, contract negotiation and administration.
 Experience overseeing capital projects including mechanical system upgrades and replacements within a plant environment.
