RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, Employee Engagement will work closely with the President and the Management Team to achieve staffing objectives by undertaking research, candidate sourcing and recruiting candidates for sales, technical and customer service roles. This is a varied role focusing on recruitment, on-boarding and employee engagement.
 Designs and delivers programs to recruit for skill and cultural fit, builds employee engagement, recognizes great work and celebrates performance
 Works with the Management Team to identify and develop plans for replacement, succession, and the determination of new job roles, building an active applicant pool through research and sourcing
 Determines applicant qualifications, interviews and evaluates applicants, compares qualifications, attitude and aptitude to the business objectives and culture of the organization
 Actively conducts candidate/employee performance evaluations, exit interviews; gathers information and intelligence to improve the Parkside Ford processes
 Administers the orientation and “on-boarding” process
 Develops professional relationships with colleges and provincial employment agencies, maintains professional networks, participates in professional organizations
Skills & Experience
 3-5 years of experience in recruitment and retention
 Self-starter with strong entrepreneurial drive
 Exercises a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives
 Must possess strong communication skills demonstrated in verbal, written and telephone communication
 Capacity to think strategically, act operationally and ability to work independently
