Bookkeeper - Somerset West, Helderberg, Company Name: My HR Department. Bookkeeper (Somerset West). A well-established Accounting/Audit practice based in Somerset West has a vacancy for a full-time Bookkeeper.
You would be the ideal candidate if you have the following qualifications, experience, and characteristics: Grade 12 and a relevant bookkeeping qualification. 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a financial environment is required. Can work with multiple clients at the same time. Can work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well presented with proficiency in business English, another language with be advantageous. Excellent attention to detail skills. Computer literate in MS Office and MS Outlook is essential. Knowledge of Pastel would be an advantage.
Willingness to work overtime during peak periods. Driver’s licenses is required with own transport.
Duties and Responsibilities: Bookkeeping to Trial Balance. Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions. Update and maintain the general ledger. Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system. Maintain the trail balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers. Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions.
