Dairy Herdsperson
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 Hourly for 44 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Type of Farm Operations: Livestock, Dairy
Type of Equipment: Feeding and watering system, Milking systems, Manure handling or storage system
Type of Livestock Specialization: Dairy cattle
Specific Skills: Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, Supervise breeding programs and harvest operations, Perform general farm duties, Formulate feeding program, Recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, Supervise farm operations
Additional Skills: Develop work schedules and establish procedures, Maintain quality control and production records, Maintain livestock performance records
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Odours
Work Location Information: Staff accommodation available
Ability to Supervise: 10 people or less
