Sawmill Labourer (Sawmill Assistant)
Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Full Time, Day
Salary: $440.00 Weekly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months
Work Setting: Sawmill
Type of Equipment: Forklift, Shovel
Type of Wood Product: Lumber
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Sort, pile and transport wood products, Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing, Clean machinery and work areas, Assist other processing workers
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Mask, Ear plugs
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold/refrigerated
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is not available
