Job Description
Public Broadcasting Atlanta (PBA) is a non-profit organization known as Atlanta Educational Telecommunications Collaborative, Inc. (AETC). As a broadcast service PBA is comprised of WABE90.1FM, WPBA-TV30 and the digital services of wabe.org, pba.org and Atlanta PlanIt (including other digital properties).
Title: Director of Individual Giving
Summary: Under the direction of the COO, the Director of Individual Giving directs and coordinates fundraising activities that comprise of divisions such as Membership, Volunteer Services & Major Giving.  Plans, develops, and maintains a comprehensive private and public sector fund-raising program on behalf of the organization and to enhance mission and vision. 
Accountabilities:
    Develops, proposes and implements fundraising strategies across fundraising techniques consistent with overall organizational objectives as it relates to fundraising in the broadcasting industry and in general.
    Oversees all fundraising efforts including on-air and online pledge drives, mail, and telemarketing, auction and other specialized fundraising functions, events, major and high end giving.
    Designs, implements and develops creative comprehensive fundraising programs and appropriate marketing and communications strategies.
    Coordinates and works with the Director of Underwriting to identify prospects and strategize opportunities for partnership/engagement toward annual fundraising goals.
    Coordinates and works with the Director of Underwriting on PBA’s participation in community events in order to enhance individual, corporate & community relationships and build station visibility and extend brand.
    Works with the COO and the CFO in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial performance, providing reports and data as needed for financial monitoring and projection.
    Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Master's degree or equivalent; or five (+) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven analytical skills and ability in developing programs and communications. Prior fundraising and development management coupled with marketing and grant writing experience preferable. Proven organizational skills with demonstrated ability to maintain successful interpersonal relationships with contributors, volunteers, board and staff. Knowledge/experience in donor prospecting, research methods and techniques and strategy necessary. Experience with database, spreadsheet, word processing and project management software. Background in nonprofit administration and public broadcasting experience a plus.
