Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.)
Terms of Employment: Casual, Part Time, On Call, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $20.00 to $23.00 Hourly for 20 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Bridgewater, Nova Scotia (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Nursing or convalescent home, Rehabilitation centre
Area of Specialization: Palliative care, Psychiatry, Rehabilitation unit
Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Change patients' dressings, Assist registered nurses with various medical procedures
Additional Skills: Monitor patients' progress and report any changes
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning
Other Information:LPN's at LaHave Manor supervise client's at the ARC. Responsibilities include but are not limited to medication administration,all skilled nursing procedures.
