Our Client in Consulting Engineering Client in Sea point Cape Town is looking for a Junior Accountant. You will be responsible for collating financial information and spend most of your time doing high data volume reconciliations. The ideal candidate should be very meticulous, and detail orientated. The candidate will be required to take a psychometric test as well as an excel test which we have devised as this role will predominantly work in excel.

Salary Up to R 28000 CTC plus quarterly incentive of R 5000.

Requirements: Matric and tertiary qualification e.g Degree of Diploma. Proven experience of at 3 years in an accounting role. In-depth understanding of the entire Microsoft Office suite. Excellent time management skills. Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills. Must be able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities: Maintaining cash management records, including bank reconciliations and daily deposits. Responsible for book closing and maintaining the general ledger accounts in line with GAAP and corporate accounting policies. Reconciling and checking daily tolling as well as researching any variances and providing resolution thereof. Coordinated monthly internal accounting procedures. Maintaining the current filing and database system.

Assist with internal and external audits. Prepared financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarising account information and trends. Enforced adherence to requirements, filing reports, advising management on needed actions.
