Answer the hotel’s main telephone number within 3 rings and Greet every guest with a warm and sincere voice
Follow the intuition to anticipate every caller’s needs and connect them to the correct telephone extension
Ask for permission from all callers before placing the call on hold.
Make an acknowledgment before transferring or connecting a call
Take, communicate and process In-Room Dining orders accurately and timely.
Have a thorough knowledge of In-Room Dining menus and current specials.
Encourage up-selling in order to maximize revenues
Inform guests with a savvy knowledge of the hotel, the services, about the city and neighborhood ‘happenings’
Handle guests’ check-ins/check-outs, room assignments, and room change/late check-out requests in an efficient and friendly manner as needed
Ensure guest privacy and security i.e. any confidential guest information is not disclosed
Be proficient with hotel operating systems to answer, log and process all guest calls, requests, queries, or concerns.
