IT Specialist/Support – Century City, Cape Town. A digital marketing company in Century City is searching for an efficient and experienced IT Specialist/Support to join their team. Please take note of shift hours 16:00 to 01:00 – subject to change. To start ASAP.

Qualifications: Matric, IT certification, ± 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Proficient in several programming languages. Experience with writing code. Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications. Good written and oral communication skills (English). Familiar with a range of software and hardware.

Abilities: Flexible regarding working hours, Efficient, Hard-working, Dedicated, Availability to travel between CPT branches, Confidentiality, Be able to build, service, and repair PC’s/Laptops, Strong fundamentals of networking, Understanding of WLAN, WAN, and LAN environments. Understanding of Microsoft operating systems.

Duties & Responsibilities: Administering data and network security for departments including system firewalls, antivirus, group policy, and email security. Installing, configuring, and monitoring wireless network systems.

Providing training to fellow employees about network security and the best computer usage practices. Creating, analyzing, reporting, converting, and transferring data through systems using application software. Understand support problems, analyze problem data, and determine appropriate solutions.

Plan and complete daily assigned tasks within deadlines. Maintain confidentiality and security of company documents and customers. Report system downtime and performance issues to Management. Ensure to follow standard operating procedures and meet service level agreements. Assess potential risks and technical challenges and prepare appropriate mitigation plans. Analyze system issues and provide resolutions.

Recommend process improvements to ensure system reliability, scalability, security, integrity, and performance. Work in compliance with department safety and quality standards. Salary will be discussed should you be contacted for an interview.
