Requirements: Minimum of 2 – 3 years experience in an IT Technician role. Valid Driver’s license. Fluent in English and Afrikaans. Well organized and have a systematic approach to problem-solving. Attention to detail, quality, and accuracy. Deadline Driven. Performs well under pressure. Ability to work independently without supervision with the ability to take initiative and be proactive. Analytical thinking and problem-solving.

Responsibilities: In-office Helpdesk assistance via telephone, email, and remote connections. In-office Server maintenance and monitoring, as well as administrating critical backup solutions. On-site customer and network support for office environments where users make use of MS Office, Pastel, Payroll, PDI, CRM, etc. Install and implement desktop and notebook computers on Windows Active Directory domains. Maintain Windows Server. Configuration and deployment of Office 365 Exchange and other solutions.

Configuration and maintenance of DNS, DHCP, Active, Directory, SQL Server. Set up and configure email in Outlook. Set up troubleshooting of printers. Set up troubleshooting of firewalls and routers. Set up troubleshooting of wireless networks. Removal of malware and virus infections. Assembly and repair of computer, notebook, and server hardware. Installation of Windows operating systems.

Troubleshoot network and connectivity problems in internal networks as well as fiber and wireless service providers. Install and terminate UTP cabling. Shadowing the IT contractors/vendors. Ensuring the surveillance cameras are in working order. Configuration, maintenance, and update of mobile devices and laptops. Receiving of procured IT equipment and ensuring IT Asset register is updated. Routine checks of boardrooms IT equipment and completing monthly maintenance.
