Area Manager, Umtata / Mthatha, Eastern Cape. AREA MANAGER / MTHATHA – Only Applicants with Clothing Retail experience will be considered for this position. The successful Candidate will oversee all Mthatha and surrounding stores, namely: Lusikisiki, Flag Staff, Bizana, Mount Frere, Matatiele, Qumbu and 5 Stores in Mthatha. Position will be based in Mthatha

Minimum Requirements: Matric/Grade 12. Operations Management Diploma/degree or relevant/related Retail NQF diploma. Clothing Retail Experience crucial for this role. Min. 5 years’ experience in a similar role. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record. Willingness to Travel. Behavioural Competency.

Strong ability to work under pressure. Proven ability to Manage staff and ensure maximum productivity. Strong ability to use own initiative. Good attention to detail. Strong communication skills.

Duties: Responsible for all operations in his/her business Unit. Assist the Operations Manager to make careful considerations of all aspects in the Business Unit before making a business decision. Responsible (with the Operational Manager) for Business Unit goals, decisions, plans, implementation and evaluation of performance.

Key Accountabilities: Asset Management, Stock Control, Merchandising, Marketing and Sales, Admin and cash, Management of staff, Security, Customer Service.
