Factory Manager, Sabie, Mpumalanga. Our client is a chemical company specializing in the manufacture of wood preservatives. They currently have a vacancy for a suitably qualified FACTORY MANAGER, to be based in Sabie, Mpumalanga. The factory manager will have to oversee the operations of the Sabie factory.

Responsibility: Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for: Manufacturing, Manufacture product according to the bill of material. Keep track of manufacturing in the ERP system on a daily basis.

Deliveries: Keep contact with the sales team to plan deliveries.

Running of the factory: Manage a staff complement of 8 including the office manager. Ensure company processes and health and safety are adhered to.

Stock management: Manage stock levels with deliveries and manufacturing lead time.

Customer interaction: Make contact with customers from time to time to assess deliveries and assist the sales team as needed. To succeed in this challenge, the ideal candidate needs to have worked in the manufacturing industry for 4 years and have experience working and leading a team. Matriculated and have a management certificate or work experience equivalent.
