Requirements: Grade 12. Quantity Surveying Diploma or Degree. 2 years experience. Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English). Must be proficient in Microsoft applications. Knowledge of structural steel, laser cutting, and metalwork is a big plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional and detail-oriented. Ability to read drawings and plans. Valid driver’s license.

Duties: Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare Estimates, Cost Plans, Bills of Quantities, Specifications, and Schedule of Rates for new builds, improvements, and maintenance work. Preparing preliminary estimates for conceptual projects and assisting with direct cost reports. Handling of all tender documents. Determine key variables for cost and other estimates. Gather first-hand information from sites, warehouses, etc.

Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc. Obtain and review quotes from subcontractors. Build and maintain a good relationship with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc. Create and submit tenders to Projects Managers, clients, etc. Communication between different departments on current projects and requirements. Conduct accurate cost analyses and estimations for the organization.

Salary: R 10 000 – R 12 000
