Job Description: Peqish Food Company is looking for energetic team players to join our team at our new location in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
We are currently hiring FT and PT Bakers.
BAKERS POSITION REQUIREMENT
• Highly organized with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English language
• Minimum one year’s Bakery experience
• Culinary Training / Certificate
• You must be able to work well by yourself as well as with others
• Be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Have initiative and excellent work ethic
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs up to shoulder level.
RESPOSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Bake from scratch
• Prepares, bakes and presents menu items in a timely fashion.
• Cake decoration skills
• Ability to follow standardized recipes
• Submits food product requirements to kitchen Manager
• Responsible for storage and rotation of food items
• Review all incoming products for freshness and ensure food quality
• Maintaining records of food used and supplies on hand
• Maintaining temperature logs & chlorine logs for coolers & freezers
• Maintain open communication lines will all staff members.
• Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work station and environment.
• Shift starts at 5:00 am
