Job Description: Peqish Food Company is looking for energetic team players to join our team at our new location in the heart of downtown Vancouver.
COOKS POSITION REQUIREMENT
• Highly organized with excellent communication skills and proficiency in English language
• You must be able to work well by yourself as well as with others
• Be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Have initiative and excellent work ethic
• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
• Ability to lift over 50lbs up to shoulder level.
RESPOSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Prepares, cooks and presents menu items in a timely fashion.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes
• Submits food product requirements to kitchen Manager
• Responsible for storage and rotation of food items
• Maintaining records of food used and supplies on hand
• Maintaining temperature logs & chlorine logs for coolers & dishwasher
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas
• Maintain open communication lines will all staff members.
• Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Review all incoming products for freshness and ensure food quality
• Supervise and oversee all phases of meal production
• Work with all kitchen personnel to ensure proper quality and quantity of food production and meal preparation are met.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work station and environment.
