Junior Front of House Manager (Durbanville, Cape Town). Durbanville, Northern Suburbs. A renowned restaurant based in Durbanville, Cape Town is looking for a Junior Front of House Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. A compensation package of R 8,500 per month (subject to background and experience) is being offered. This is a Non-EE position.

Position Overview: The role of a Junior Front of House Manager is to supervise and co-ordinate the entire front of house team and to report directly to the Front of House Manager. The successful candidate ensures the client receives a warm welcome and that services runs smoothly.

The Junior Front of House Manager oversees all operations at a restaurant. They shape a restaurant-goer’s experience by maintaining the dining room’s appearance, and ensuring good customer service. They will also be required to create shift schedules, and ensure that the front-of-house (FOH) runs smoothly. You are ultimately responsible for customer satisfaction, so you must make sure your staff is providing excellent customer service. You must also facilitate a smooth line of communication between the servers and the kitchen. Junior Front of House Managers are “people-people” with strong organization and leadership skills.

At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position within the restaurant or hospitality sector are required. They have a 45-hour working week, 5 to 6 days per week which works in shifts.

Requirements: At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position as a Junior Front of House Manager. Bar experience. Admin background. Stock control experience. Flexible to work shifts. Bonus - Control a kitchen pass. Ability to multitask and plan ahead. Ability to work under pressure.
