Ilembe (Dolphin Coast), North Coast, Diesel Mechanic / Workshop Manager required. Office base in Shaka’s Head, Ballito.

Must have knowledge and experience in repairs of most Heavy duty vehicles. Experience with Mercedes, Powerstar, CAT equipment is a must. Successful candidate will be required to carry out services, repairs, engine assemblies and diagnostics on all fleet. Must have excellent knowledge in fault finding and diagnosis. Must have min. 5 years experience.

Minimum Requirements: Computer literate in MS Office; Qualified Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic will be advantageous but not compulsory. Must have experience in maintaining Trucks, TLB’s, Bobcat, Hydraulics.  

Must have experience in Procurement. Must have experience in Managing a workshop and staff.

Duties Include, but not limited to: Hands-on mechanical work as leading Diesel. Mechanic Administrate the work flow within the workshop and on the field between yourself and staff members. Ensure good document control and database capturing. Ensure repairs are completed timeously and correctly. Manage the workshop staff and ensure full utilisation of available labour resources.

Ensure ordering of parts (procurement) is carried out effectively. Implement and sustain management systems and supply technical feedback and reporting. Maintain a high level of safety, discipline and housekeeping in the workshop.
