Business Analyst - Life & Pensions

New position in for a Business analyst -Life and Pensions. My client based in Dublin West are looking for a business analyst for software implementationsw of new and existing projects.

Ideally candidates should have the following experience:

    Highly experienced in the Financial Services. Life and Pensions experience is a must for this role
    Highly experienced in business analysis processes and methodologies
    Detailed knowledge of client products managed
    Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    Highly experienced in working with a variety of software development methodologies
    Good knowledge of project management work practices
    Experienced in MS Work and MS Excel, particularly with Excel formulae
    Some experience with databases and SQL is desirable

The successful BA will have the following responsibilities:

    Liaise with customer counterparts and actively drive out customer requirements
    Provide industry expertise / advice to clients, project delivery teams, sales teams
    Conduct workshops, system demonstrations and presentations
    Create and maintain specifications (product requirement, functional requirement, etc…)
    Undertake peer reviews of specifications
    Assist in the preparation of BA estimates & plans
    Conduct specification walkthroughs (for other project delivery teams)
    Assist and participate in the specification sign-off process
    Provide support to the various project delivery teams (development, QA, Data Migration, UAT)
    Assist in solution architecture
    Assist in the preparation of user manuals
    Assist with client and project delivery team training
    Participate in project team meetings
    Participate in the triage of defects
    Participate in defect resolution (e.g. correct a product rule)
    Daily reporting of BA progress
