Chief Executive Officer, Worcester, Cape Winelands. Our client, a Water Consumers Association in the Breede River Valley, has an opportunity for a dynamic person with an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification, or experience, to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibility: The incumbent will report to the Water Board and be responsible for the overall management of the scheme. These include operational duties such as operating an integrated pumping system, monitoring dam levels to ensure uninterrupted water supply to members; maintenance and repair of pumps and pipes, water channels, etc.

Administrative duties include monitoring members' water consumption from the scheme, maintenance and control of scheme data and maintaining and providing management information to the Water Board.

Proven management skills regarding staff and projects are required. Good knowledge of pumps, motors, electricity, as well as knowledge of the Water Act and provisions of the Departments of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs will strengthen your application.

We are looking for a person with good interpersonal skills and experience in managing staff, contractors and projects to ensure the continued success of the Board. A remuneration package in line with the successful candidate's qualifications and experience will be negotiated.
