We are looking to recruit a Barista who is responsible to provide the highest level of hospitality and guest experience when preparing and providing warm beverages.
As a Barista, you will work in any food and beverage outlet such as room service, lounge, restaurant and conference and events. You will prepare the area for service, welcome and interact with customers, take orders and serve drinks. Interpret guests needs and translate them into beverage recommendations that impress. Prepare coffees at a consistent standard, upselling products and meeting targets.
Requirements: Matric, Work various shifts, Work across multiple functions (restaurant, room service, lounge, conference & events), Use of micros and speed point machine operations. Previous relevant up market restaurant experience in a 4* or equivalent environment.
Competencies: Neat and professional appearance. Barista skills in an upmarket environment. Product knowledge of hotel and city. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Menu terminology, menu knowledge and an in-depth knowledge of the current menu and coffee list. Selling skills. Ability to use technology ie. mobile device.
