Contract Cabler Assistants, Airport industria, Cape Flats. Atlas Fire Security is seeking reliable Contract Cabler Assistants for an upcoming project.
Duties and Responsibilities: To assist service technicians with the servicing of systems or 1475 equipment. To assist electronics installation technician’s; 1475 service technicians and piping technicians with the installation of systems and equipment. Communication between themselves and their technician(s). To gain experience and knowledge through practical on-site training from their technician(s). To look after and take responsibility, along with their technician(s) all vehicles, tools and equipment assigned to their team.
To abide to and implement employment policies. Assist with any general maintenance around the office, on company vehicles or on a customer’s site as instructed by management. Collection of materials from suppliers, clients or any other party as instructed by Management. To assist with the preparation, installation and maintenance of the piping division. To observe and follow the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.
To learn and fulfil the functions and responsibilities of an Associate Technician or Piping Assistant. Participate in Internal training interventions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The information needed to perform the work, but not necessarily includes having done it before. E.g. National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Grade 10 (Standard 8), Drivers license advantageous.
The required attributes that are usually acquired by having done the work in the past. E.g. Meeting tight deadlines. Experience not necessary but advantageous (Has worked, taken and obeyed instructions within a team.) Elementary understanding on the use basic power tools and hand tools (drills, grinders, etc.) Must have been employed in the formal job market for a period of at least two years.
The physical, emotional, intellectual and psychological aptitude to perform the work, but neither having done the job nor having been trained to do the work is required. E.g. Mathematical Aptitude. Good verbal communication skills. Good written communication skills. Able to follow instructions. Accurate with repetitive tasks. Desire to help team members. Must be physically fit to perform the job.
