Intermediate Phase Educator, Midrand, Johannesburg, Company Name: Bradford Colleges. A Midrand based Preparatory School seeks to appoint an energetic, motivated and passionate Educator to join our team in a temporary capacity for the first academic term of 2021.
The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will include, inter alia: Implementing the school’s Cambridge Curriculum according to the agreed standards; Be willing to attend staff training and development programs outside normal school hours; Administer continuous assessments to track learner progress and development; Implement effective and successful classroom management strategies using varied teaching styles, differentiation, active learning principles and positive discipline methodologies
The ideal candidate must: Have a relevant teaching degree from a recognised Tertiary Institution; Be highly motivated, energetic and enthusiastic; Have excellent verbal and written English communication skills; Be able to fully integrate technology into their teaching on platforms such as Classflow, Google Class and Zoom; Be a passionate, dynamic, caring and innovative. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Cambridge Curriculum expectations for the relevant Grade/Phase and a determined passion for personal and continuous development in pedagogical and professional competencies and ethics; Be committed to and possess the ability to contribute to the school’s extra-mural programme/team sports; Be prepared to work according to the School’s ethos, specifications and policies; Be available in the afternoons, evenings and at other times to attend workshops, courses, school functions and educational duties and tours
Be registered with SACE (the South African Council for Educators) (proof of registration required). Be in possession of a current Police Clearance Certificate. Closing Date for Applications: 13 November 2020.
