Jewelry Store Management Personnel, City Centre, Cape Town, A well established Jewelry Retailer requires a seasoned store manager. Deliver and encourage staff to deliver excellent customer service.

Achieve growth and sales targets by successfully managing the store sales team. Maintain profitability of location through sales and proper shrink and expense control. Interview, hire and recruit highly qualified candidates. Conduct monthly staff meetings as well as weekly and monthly touch bases.

Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete  performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports; hold team responsible and accountable for results. Coordinate the day to day operations functions of the store.

Plan, organize, and supervise inventory process. Display merchandise and promotional materials in accordance with the company’s merchandising plans; responsible for maintenance of store fixtures. Write store schedule to meet the needs of the business.

Verify that proper service is delivered to customers. Verify that price changes, recalls, and stock balance are up-to-date. Research and communicate current market trends and competitors’ activities to associates.

Minimum requirements: Deep knowledge in Gold and Silver Jewelry with at least 3 years of experience. Must have previous managerial experience with a reputable retailer. Experience with jewelry and luxury goods is an added advantage. Should have strong stock management, people skills and ability to drive sales. Strong admin and excel knowledge is required.

Must have deep knowledge of industry/technical terms and processes. Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, reliability and dependability. Excellent planning, organizational, delegation and follow-up skill. Ability to work independently without immediate supervision. Ability to accept responsibility and meet deadlines. Ability to understand and thoroughly explain detailed information. Willingness and ability to effectively provide positive and constructive feedback as needed and communicate praise and constructive feedback as needed.

Ability and willingness to apply the personal effort and time necessary to attain goals and objectives.
