Day-to-Day Operations: Proceed purchase orders in the Syspro system (Imports/Distribution/Warehousing). Inventory/Warehouse management: invoice verification, support the monthly settlement of the external inventory. Posting invoices, order confirmations, bill of lading numbers, vessel names and dates of arrival onto the system.

Receiving GRNs from warehouses and capturing on system for EA & EAA. Assisting with stock capturing of all products received into the warehouse for re-sale.

Cost control for all goods received. Checking correct documents received from suppliers for customers. Making sure road transport quality systems regulations are adhered to Specialist Knowledge.

Hazardous materials: Knowledge of regulations in South Africa/Sub-Saharan countries

Trade Compliance: Manage the Trade Compliance process (Trade Compliance Officer)

Foreign Trade: Knowledge about foreign trade processes

Maintenance: Central point of contact for maintenance topics around the building Purchasing

Coordinating and managing of purchasing activities mainly in South Africa, but as well in the region SSA Support in defining a strategy for the region in consultation with the internal stakeholders (BUs, management, CPO, responsible Lead Buyers, Supply Chain Manager SSA)

Implementing the global and regional strategy for raw materials, capital projects, technical goods, MRO and services in close cooperation with the global lead buyers.

Implementing and monitoring  savings initiatives (incl. pooling purchasing volume). Managing and optimizing processes to speed up the clearance process. Developing regional market and providing supplier assessments. Managing of prices, terms and conditions. Internet cost allocation and services rendered. Operational coordination of procurement processes.

Requirements: Working experience of min. 5 years in Logistics/Supply Chain Management - ideally in an international environment. Very good understanding of Logistics in general and ability to work with standards/ processes of a multinational company. Ability to work independently and take initiative Team player and strong communication and implementation skills.

Excellent skills in data analysis and presentation

Knowledge of regional markets and vendors

Knowledge of import and export procedures and laws

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Computer skills in SAP tools and MS Office (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, Power Point)

In depth knowledge of Syspro would be require as all our systems are based on this software.
