Social Media Coordinator, Berea & Musgrave, Durban City. We have a new job opportunity for a multi-talented, junior Social Media Coordinator with design capabilities at a renowned company. This is an exciting role for the right candidate who will be responsible for assisting in building Brand equity, driving user engagement and generating leads. You will be responsible for delivering online content on all social media platforms. You will maintain a positive online reputation via timely community management of the company’s social media platforms. Some Design skill is a must as you will create relevant graphic collateral and other marketing deliverables.

Requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification. with a focus in media, branding, journalism, communication, marketing or similar qualification. Minimum of 3-years Social Media experience running ads on Facebook Business Manager and other Social/Digital platforms.

Good understanding of Google analytics and similar analytic programmes. Familiarity with design and online video editing tools. Proficiency in Adobe Products (Creative Cloud), Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Getty/Shutterstock photo library.

Key performance areas: Responsible for planning, developing and implementing the company’s overall social media strategy to support and improve its social media presence. To oversee and drive innovative and creative content across all social media platforms for proactive and reactive social media plans and campaigns. Social media management: Develop day to day tactics, monitoring, and management of the company’s social channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and emerging social platforms, engage with multiple audiences and cultivate social relationships with important influencers. Monitors online mention and offers factual corrections.

Content development: Create content that can be repurposed to meet goals, such as copy images, infographic and video

Strategy development: Develop a measurable strategy for using social channels that support the company’s overall communication strategy by engaging with multiple audiences. Develop tactical campaigns and content calendars that advance the goals of the company.

Research and evaluate emerging and current social media platforms Analytics and reporting: Monitoring the effectiveness of social media strategy through a variety of qualitative and qualitative measures and regularly reports on outputs and outcomes Record-keeping: Keeping accurate and useful records and databases of information and drawing up of reports and correspondence to facilitate the functioning of the Office.
